The airport is about 6 km south of the city centre, in the Košice-Barca district. You can get there by bus no. 23, with Bolt, by transfer or by car.

Bus no. 23 links the airport with the city centre and the railway and bus stations. The journey takes about 12 to 20 minutes depending on direction and service. A 30-minute ticket costs €1.20 (reduced €0.60), a 60-minute ticket €1.40 (reduced €0.70). Buy it from the machine at the stop, which accepts coins and payment cards.
Since summer 2026 Bolt has been the airport’s official transport partner. Its cars wait in 16 reserved, marked spaces in car park P1 right in front of the terminal. In the arrivals hall there is a self-service TapBox kiosk – the first of its kind in Slovakia – where you can book and pay for a ride by card, even without the app, a phone or mobile data. A ride to the centre usually costs about €6 to €9 depending on demand. If drivers approach you in the arrivals hall offering a ride, look for the marked spaces in front of the building – other taxi services do not have a reserved area in front of the terminal.
The airport’s second contracted partner is Benze Transfer, which has operated at the airport for more than ten years and guarantees a fixed price for rides to and from the airport anywhere in Košice – certainty with no surprises at the end of the ride, though not automatically the lowest price. You can book a car in advance for an exact date and time, to the terminal or to your hotel.
For rides to the centre it is worth comparing Benze’s fixed price with the current offer in the Bolt app or kiosk.
